Intermediate yoga classes are designed to build on the basic concepts learned in beginning classes. The techniques and routines practiced in these classes help to unlock the full transformational power of yoga.

An Intermediate Yoga class is right for:

  • Those who seek to learn proper alignment in traditional poses.
  • Hardy beginners who want to enhance their strength and coordination.
  • Anyone who wants a vigorous class that comfortably challenges their abilities.

Intermediate level yoga classes are designed to offer advanced details for traditional poses and offer insights into adaptations for greater comfort.

Every class offers safe challenges that can help you advance your strength and flexibility.

The class pacing offers a more intense challenge than beginning level classes but can easily be adapted to individual needs.

The insights offered in these classes help develop the transformational power of yoga for each student.

These classes are appropriately challenging, pleasantly paced and fun.

Intermediate Yoga group classes are ongoing each week.

Intermediate Yoga

Open Attendance Class. No pre-registration necessary. Drop ins welcome.

Evening class: Wednesdays, 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Day class:
Thursdays, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Location: Jbyrd Yoga Studio, 1122 Welch, Houston, Tx 77006 (map)

For hardy beginners or more advanced students, this class focuses on creating the strength and techniques to master traditional yoga poses. The format uses more advanced sun salutes and ventures into backbends, crow pose and handstands as well as other challenging yoga poses. All are welcome and techniques can be modified to suit the less advanced student who wishes to grow into the program.

Class payments may be used for any drop-in class.

These payments are good for any open attendance class and they never expire.
