BYB Functional Yoga Training for Athletics

 

This certification course is designed to give you a working knowledge of teaching yoga to those involved in athletic endeavors. Athletes commonly experience increases in muscle stiffness and tightness from rigorous training and repetitive movements, leaving them vulnerable to injuries in muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints.

 

Some of the most common imbalances occur in their hips, shoulders and lower backs and this situation can potentially shorten their careers. Athletes also deal with the issues of fatigue and overtraining. This course will help you address these problems with the skills and techniques necessary to prevent injury, increase endurance and enhance performance for the professional and amateur athlete in a variety of team or individual sports.

 

Certification is offered as a 50 hour, 100 hour or 200 hour format. If you are an athlete, or your desire is to work with those in the higher end of body performance then these courses are for you.

Tuition: Each class may be taken separately or combined together for a discounted rate.

 

Saturdays paid separately: $360.00 per class

Yoga classes paid separately: $180.00 for 18 classes.

 

Discounted Tuition:

Single payment discount: $1295.00

2 payment discount : Two payments of $688.50 (total $1377)

3 payment discount : Three payments of $486.00 (total $1458)

200 hour certification course

 

Functional Yoga Training for Athletics may also be taken as a 200 hour certification course. This course covers the yoga history, yoga philosopy, nutrition, energetics, breathing techniques, relaxation techniques, business details and ethics as well as a complete training in instructing functional yoga. Upon completion of this course the student can apply to Yoga Alliance for National Certification. The program can be completed as a 9 month program or a full year program.
