Boustany Yoga Teacher Training2009 6 month 200 hour program Jan - June schedule (link to pdf ) Boustany Hatha Yoga is a revolutionary system of yoga, developed over many years by yoga master, Robert Boustany. It uses staged physical challenges for strength in life. It is a physically challenging system, which seeks balance by isolating and embracing the weakest areas. A regular practice of Boustany Hatha Yoga minimizes the disparity between weakness and strength and supports a balanced perception of life. Boustany Hatha Yoga uses physical alignment, placing uniform pressure over a joint with a relaxed and lengthened spine, and energetic alignment, maintaining open energetic pathways, even in the face of adversity. Its effect is profound and far-reaching, and completely possible for anyone who practices in this way. Based on the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, Boustany Hatha Yoga sees the practice of yoga as the key to cultivating a quiet attentive presence, without constant homage to the thinking mind. By being present and accepting the intensity of the practice, one cultivates the mental fire to be stronger inside than the outside circumstances. As energetic and emotional blockages naturally ease, one becomes more alive, melting into Life in the expanded, timeless, present moment. The Boustany Hatha Yoga Teacher's Training program is offered as a 200 hour certification course. In this program the participant will learn yoga history, anatomy and physiology, fundamental yoga teaching skills, ethics and business practices. The primary emphasis of this course will be an extensive training in the methods and philosophy of Boustany Hatha Yoga. The course work will cover all poses found within the book 'Light on Yoga' by B.K.S. Iyengar. This will be a challenging course designed to produce an instructor who is able to teach others how to effectively use yoga in their lives. We look forward to hearing from you.
